The Counts Detroit, Michigan

Formed in Detroit in 1964, The Fabulous Counts started as neighborhood jam sessions between friends. After some minor hits and dropping “Fabulous” from their moniker, The Counts went on to self-produce and record one of the most iconic albums in Funk history for Westbound in 1971.
